Why are there few miracles today is a question that I face almost on a daily basis. Jesus healed the sick. Jesus gave sight to the blind. Jesus made the lame to walk. Jesus gave life to the dead. Jesus even long distance healed. Jesus made it possible to feed thousands with a small amount of food. Jesus went head to head with Satan and won. Jesus walked on water. Jesus stilled terrible storms.
Jesus even told his disciples that after he was gone he’d send them the Holy Spirit so they’d do even greater things. They did – we can’t what happened? Are we another faithless generation Jesus was talking about? And Jesus answered, “O faithless and twisted generation, how long am I to be with you? How long am I to bear with you? Bring him here to me.” (Matthew 17:17)
In March of 1981 I underwent open chest surgery as treatment for Myasthenia Gravis. Prior to the surgery and shortly after a great number of people were praying for a healing. Several years later the MG went into remission. And since then there have been only a couple of times when it has come out of remission but that lasted only a short periods of time. Have I been healed? I know of one friend who died of complications of MG and two close friends that are still struggling with it. So what do you think?
